Chemistry class last night started off with a shock. Our professor "will not be back" and we have a new teacher for the last 3 weeks of the semster - for the last test and the comprehensive final.
Prof #1's office is cleared out. Rumors and speculation abound - nervous breakdown, using chemistry for illicit purposes, witness relocation program - since no one believes that he would be fired for incompetence before the semester was over.
So all of us Type A personality students are freaking out at the idea of trying to adjust to a new teacher's style, expectations and grading. We were somewhat reassured when Prof #2 actually taught last night - #1 used to read from a Powerpoint presentation and rarely interacted with the class.
I'm wishing we had Prof #2 all semester - I learned more in last night's class than I have in the previous 11 weeks.

oooh... a mystery. You'll have to let us know if you ever DO hear the reason Prof 1 left.
Finals must just about be upon you...what next? A summer course or are you taking the summer off?
