Happy Birthday Mom!!

Wow - my mom turned 71 years old today. I am so very thankful that she is still here with me. I came so close to losing her in January, and now she is back living in her own apartment and getting around pretty well.

Like many people, I have an up-and-down relationship with my mother. She is my hero, but she can also drive me bat-shit crazy in ways that no other human being can.

I guess that's love.

PS - yes, my parents' birthdays were on consecutive dates. He was born on April 6, 1937 and she was born on April 7, 1936.
