I have a friend down in Florida who has requested my assistance for the launch activities next week. Which means I could see the Shuttle launch from the Launch Control Center, the absolute closest you can physically get to the launch pad.
This would fulfill a great dream of mine - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works out for this launch (Dec. 7) or the next one in March.
